Case Study ZEMENTOL: Louis Davids Carré, Zandvoort (The Netherlands)
 

A large part of the town centre of Zandvoort, a city situated directly at the coast line, is up to be reconstructed. Until 2014 the community will offer a completely redone, attractive area for citizens, companies and tourists.

During phase 1 the structural work of the Louis Davids Carré has been finished by BU Schmidt, Duisburg in 11 months only. This RC-building has been designed to host apartments, learning facilities as well as parking space for more than 500 cars. Since the top slab/ deck (sized approx. 2.500m²) of the parking is not covered by a super-construction, Quinting riluFORM, an affiliate of QUINTING-ZEMENTOL Germany, realized the building sealing with waterproof concrete (structural waterproofing, integral waterproofing).

Phase 1 embraced further 48 flats, a school, a nursery school, a public library and a gymnasium. For this section Quinting riluFORM warrants the waterproofing with waterproof concrete of 7.300m² slabs und 2.500m² prefabricated walls.

HD-Concrete-Technology: First Flat Roof/ Terrace achieved by ZEMENTOL in Italy
 

The condominium complex Fondo Frugose in Verona required a reliable waterproofing for the 1.100m2 flat roof on top of the high-quality apartments. By implementing its HD-concrete technology, which has been developed for flat roofs in Germany since 1979, ZEMENTOL Italy achieved an everlasting solution. The flat roof made out of HD-concrete completely replaces the need for membranes, which are frequently used in Italy. The maintenance, replacement, and repair cost caused by membranes were completely eliminated, too. Thus ZEMENTOL offers the lowest life-cycle-cost for the waterproofing of flat roofs.

The thermal isolation is fixed on-top of the roof. The HD-concrete is retarded and re-compacted to segregate the surplus water from the concrete. The resulting concrete possesses a high-density concrete matrix with minimum capillaries. The project was achieved in cooperation with QUINTING-ZEMENTOL Germany.

New ZEMENTOL Customer Contact in Asia: Our Partner CEMENTAID expands into the Philippines January 2011

Since 1988 Philippine customers have been served via an agent. Mr. Jim Hodges, the former agent’s Principal, has moved into the Cementaid company as Director Business Development in Manila. The company expects to begin manufacture at the new local plant early 2011. This will accommodate the increasing demand for ingredients, especially necessary in the fruit processing industry to prevent rapid corrosion of concrete.


 

 

Case Study ZEMENTOL: Aldi, Interlaken (CH) October 2010

Being in charge for next to 1,000 projects per year the ZEMENTOL Group is realising by its Swiss affiliate ZEMENTOL Schweiz AG the waterproof building sealing/ structural waterproofing for the new Aldi/Hofer-store in Interlaken. The underground parking requires a most reliable waterproofing solution due to the high ground water table. Furthermore the building cycle time is most compacted. Therefore ZEMENTOL advised on the use of crack inducers ZEMENTOL TR in the walls  (> PDF-Download) in order to optimise the size of the concrete pouring jobs.
